“Raising the Ceiling” Podcast Episode #2: With Guest Yiannis Kotsis

In this episode of our “Raising the Ceiling” podcast, host Can Gokcen speaks with famed Greek sports scientist Yiannis Kotsis. Yiannis is a sports scientist with a PhD in Exercise Biochemistry.  For over 20 years he has overseen the development of players for several champions in European leagues including Ajax of the Netherlands, and Panathinaikos and AEK of Greece.  He also served the Greek national team in several capacities for over 15 years where he joined the team’s run in the 2010 South Africa World Cup, 2012 Poland European Championship, and the 2014 Brazil World Cup. He most recently served as the Head of Sports Science for the national team.

Yiannis and Can explore the intricacies of modern youth player development as they uncover what it means to consistently test players to understand how they are developing and to create personalized training plans accordingly.
